Emily exists in a fictional, Republic of Sapphire. This setting acts as a place holder for Middle Eastern countries at war, which allows the story to comment on specific ideas without convolution of intricate politics.
The heart of the story is Emily’s coming of age. Diving into real world politics would have heavily distracted the story from this focus. There are simply too many plot lines of multiple warring factions to be contained within a 28 page comic.
It looks like Chad got off his ass and finally launched my Kickstarter Campaign. Now he goes back to hiding behind his little computer while I do all the work.
I do a lot of heavy lifting on this project. I kick ass, get my ass kicked, and even rip open throats with my bare hands! I do all of this, and then I have to listen to him complain about clicking buttons. How that guy survived this long is beyond me. He gets hand cramps and I get PTSD… what a loser.
Check out my book on Kickstarter. Hopefully it’ll teach you something, or at least make you think a little. If that fails, there’s always good ol’ fashioned violence to fall back on.
Check out this great character design Dre did of lil’Emily Executioner!

We are toying with the idea of doing a little comic strip with her. I’ll post an update if we can get this to happen.
I’m still finding new things I didn’t know about the Kickstarter/self-publishing process everyday. The latest update is registering for an ISBN. While I am learning a lot, there is the feeling of one step forward and two steps back in the process. I wish I could magically get this book out right now, but it wouldn’t be done right.

Remember that time Emily shot the guy in the face?
You know, when she hit the eye shot.
Still not narrowing it down enough.
Remember… he had a gas mask on?
Hmm… Nope sorry, she killed so many of those… Wait! Oh yeah, that guy! What a tool.
Yeah, he didn’t have a chance.
The very talented Dre Thorne was kind enough to create a Pin-Up of Emily!
Dre is currently accepting commissions. If you want to purchase some of Dre’s art, please comment, or contact us through the Facebook page, and we will let him know.
We are currently receiving quotes from printers, working on formatting the final product, and developing a kickstarter campaign. We will try to post updates as we go, if you wanna stay in the loop, please like us on Facebook. If you have any questions, please ask, we are very passionate about the project and are happy to talk about it.
